Work in progress

Working on a project about the future of our meat.

Art

Art is everything. Everything is art.
Art is nothing. Nothing is art.

Everything in a museum is art.
Museums are filled with nothing.
So, they are useless.

Privacy

Privacy seems to be a flexible value.
We share much as possible with our many friends.

We laugh, we dance and we sing.
No time for the things we truly feel.

To open our deeply thoughts looks unimportant.
Even for the persons we love the most.

Secrets we all keep for ourselves .
We bottle things up, without being aware of why.

Not realising, itís okey to be human.

Onions

The white yarns turned out to be too white. After some experimenting with natural colors, red onion skin turned out to give an amazing warm color to the fabric. If you're interesting how to do it by yourself. It's really easy and cheap. Google can help you.

Illusion

Sometimes we seem to create,
our own illusion.
Just by living the every day life.

Being at home,
watching television and social media.
Walking in de city,
seeing billboards and happy people.

And suddenly,
it feels  like everyone around us,
is prettier,
more happy and more succeeded in life.

Yarns

For me, when a work on a project, I always try to work in an honest way. That's why I decided to put my research and process online. But for me as a student, working with relativity short deadlines on relatively small projects, it's sometimes hard to find a balance between working ecological and honest, and at the same time, not buying my for example yarns, at the other side of the planet. This project will  be made with cotton and bamboo. Not sure about the background of these products. But I bought them in a small independent Hungarian fabric factory, so I supported the local economy anyway ;)

Factory

During my search for the perfect yarns for my project. I ended up suddenly in a T-shirt fabric factory. I was directly overwhelmed by the atmosphere and I bought more yarns than I will properly use. It was all 100% cotton and bamboo. First I wanted to work with wool. But that seems to be realy hard to find here, because I'm in Hungary now. And to ship some wool all over the world, doesn't seem to be very ecological ether.

Off-White

To continue my research about white and revaluation, I went a few steps back, to the textures. Creating my own white textures with fabrics. Knitting this time. Because with knitting I can combine crafts and creating textures. It made me addicted to the knitting machine. It's so interesting how such small changes can make amazing differences. Material experiments are something I always get a lot of inspiration from. It is also very helpful to understand the material better.
Working with your hands, feel the materials you work with. Because no one can be a good designer by studying from behind his computer, or making sketches. Unless you are a graphic designer maybe..

Postcards

The book was finished. And when you finish a book, you close it. To put in unseen in the closet didn't seem to be the way to spread the idea behind it. To spread the idea of revaluation. The color white. The search of materials we already have.  The small message I have, I felt it should be spread in a subtile way.

"IDEA - e.g. conceptual art is a good idea" - John Baldessari

Postcards seemed to be the perfect answer for this research. It became a set of nine postcards. Conceptual postcards. To give. To have. To sent. To get inspiration from.

Will be for sale soon.

Papers

Because I didn't want the whole research just be into a book. The idea was to let it be spread and seen. And hopefully soon, it will.
